TPG Insourcing provided a waiting list initiative to tackle post COVID ultrasound backlog, including General, Obstetrics, NOUS and MSK delivery via extra capacity weekend and midweek clinics.
Activity & Volumes
The Trust were facing Covid recovery backlogs coupled with an upsurge in service demand caused by rising referrals and capacity shortages. TPG deployed a team of experienced, Trust-approved Sonographers over an 18-month period delivering ultrasound clinics on both Saturdays and sporadic midweek days utilising spare room capacity when the Trust substantive team were not working.

- Healthcare Assistants (HCA) / Imaging Assistants
- Reception / Booking Admin Support
Highlights
Over 2000 scans delivered over the course of the provision ensuring the Trust remained DM01 compliant with <5% waiting more than 6 weeks for a scan.
